    Hi,
What is the design strategy of frame and core wall combined system for high rise structure?

Dear Kuranage, could you please explain with more detailed your project? The number of floors, floor heights, material (steel or reinforced concrete), height/plan dimension ratio. There are several alternatives to use a combined system for high rise structures. Still, I do not understand if you are asking for a methodology to design, looking for examples, or both.

    Regards, AG

    Dear Sir,
It's a real project. Height of the structure is 69m. Plan area 40.2m by 25.95m. We planned to go with reinforced concrete. I have looked to go for frame and shear wall system to go. I'm glad if you could support me on this. We have main core more towards to north west direction and to avoid torsional or twisting effects placed service core in south east direction. I heard from some engineers, frame design only for gravity and core for horizontal loads. But there is a interaction between these two with the height. What would be the best practice of doing this. I have attached image of plan for your reference.
    Thank you,

I think the bldg has 23 floors. Shear walls shall be given. At joint of columns and beams some hauch effect is applied by additional thickness and reinforcement. RCC lift Wells shall be given is good. Hauch gives earthquake resistant.

Stairwell two Walls can be shear walls. If cantilever is designed shear walls has been done.
