The ASCE Met Section Geo-Institute invites you to join us for the 48th Annual Met Section Geotechnical Seminar. Abstracts should be related to geotechnical design, construction, and case histories with regards to existing and/or proposed projects. Topics of interest may include, but are not limited to a broad range of geotechnical engineering design and construction projects in urban environments where: 1) Economic consideration was accounted for in the project design phase; 2) Alterations in construction were made based on field conditions that provided a more constructible or cost-effective approach; 3) Alternative investigations, testing procedures or unique analysis was performed that provided a benefit for the project; 4) Cost-effective construction methods and schedules were coordinated between design consultant and contractor; 5) Value engineering was provided on the project. The subjects should preferably be related to the NYC metropolitan area or other large urban areas including international areas.
