Description

The American Society of Civil Engineers National Capital Section Younger Member Forum (ASCE NCS YMF) is excited to partner with the Chesapeake Section of the American Water Works Association (CSAWWA) and the Chesapeake Water Environment Association (CWEA) for a Park Cleanup at Matthew Henson Trail in Montgomery County!

Help us give back to the community by joining us for a free park cleanup at Matthew Henson Trail!

⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Location: Matthew Henson Trail Park, 13421 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906

There is parking on site - we will meet at the parking lot/trail head and will have a volunteer guide from Montgomery Parks to help lead the way!

We'll be picking up litter and making the trail a cleaner, more welcoming space for everyone. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Just bring yourself and wear comfortable clothing!

Breakfast will be provided for all volunteers. 🥐☕

This is a great opportunity to give back, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with fellow engineers, water professionals, and community members.

This event is open to members and non-members, so you are welcome to bring a friend! Please RSVP so we can get an accurate headcount for breakfast.
