Description

10/6/2025 Update - Unfortunately, this event is being cancelled/postponed due to recent unforeseen technical difficulties with the model. We will work on rescheduling this event to a future date (TBD).

8/29/2025 Update - Registration for this event is now full due to limited space at the venue. If you are interested in attending but didn't register in time, please reach out to the contact listed on this page. Depending on interest, a second tour for a future date can potentially be scheduled.

Indian Creek has historically experienced flooding problems along various portions of the stream, especially the stretch between Roe Ave and State Line Road in Leawood. Many areas along this corridor have experienced flooding differently than predicted by computer models due to the complexity of urban flooding and the street and interstate network being located so close to the stream. To better gain an understanding of flood risk, The City of Leawood has contracted with Water Resources Solutions (WRS) to study the area and create a physical model of Indian Creek.

Come join us for a tour of the physical model and presentation led by WRS. Please note that this event will be limited to the first 25 registrants due to limited space at the facility.
