UMKC Students:

Event Description:

Indian Creek has historically experienced flooding problems at various locations, especially the stretch between Roe Ave and State Line Road in Leawood. Many areas along this corridor have experienced flooding differently than predicted by computer models due to the complexity of urban flooding and the street and interstate network being located so close to the stream. To better gain an understanding of flood risk, The City of Leawood has contracted with Water Resources Solutions (WRS) to study the area and create a physical model of Indian Creek. Come join us for an interactive tour of the physical model and presentation led by WRS!
