Speaker: Lorintz Gleich with WJE
Lorintz Gleich joined WJE in 2017 and has conducted a wide variety of structural investigations, including design of repairs and modifications. His experience includes a variety of structural materials, including concrete, wood, masonry, steel, and aluminum.
Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Gleich served for eleven years as a United States Army Engineer Officer and as an assistant professor in the U.S. Military Academy’s Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, where he taught Design of Reinforced Concrete and Masonry Structures, Structural Analysis, and Fundamentals of Engineering Mechanics.
Topic: Access Road Bridge over the Yellow River: Partial Collapse Investigation & Findings
The Access Road Bridge over the Yellow was in the process of being demolished in order to be replaced when it partially collapsed in October of 2021 just outside of Atlanta. WJE was retained to investigate the cause(s) for the bridge failure. In the presentation, WJE will share a summary of their investigation and findings.
