(V-CETT) Virtual Cutting Edge Technology Tours

When:  Apr 23, 2021 from 01:00 PM to 02:30 PM (ET)

Virtual Cutting-Edge Technology Tour (V-CETT)
in Partnership with Georgia DOT

Brought to you by the Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) Impacts Committee of T&DI, Virtual Cutting-Edge Technology Tours (V-CETT) provide a platform for public agencies and high- tech firms to demonstrate their smart city technologies and programs and to discuss how these technologies might impact the society and the existing infrastructure.
The Ray Highway

In 2018, 28% of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions came from transportation - more than any other sector in the American economy. Fatalities on U.S. interstates and highways in 2017 topped 37,000. Highways are one of the most environmentally damaging and dangerous infrastructure systems in the world. The Georgia DOT, TheRay.org and Panasonic have partnered to start a movement to build net-zero highways, starting with The Ray Highway. Join us and learn how The Ray Highway Project is improving the safety, ecology and beauty of highways on the 18-mile stretch of I-85.

This event does not qualify for professional development hours or continuing education credits.

For technical sessions and discussions like these and more, we welcome you to join us at ASCE’s 2021 Transportation Conferences. Our International Conference on Transportation & Development and  International Airfield & Highway Pavements Conference will be virtually co-located from June 8-10. Register now and save on the opportunity to attend two transportation conferences by registering for one!
