ASCE Austin - March Branch Meeting
ASCE Austin is excited to host Eric Bailey Deputy Director of Austin Capital Delivery Services (ACDS), Marcus Hammer Assistant Director of Bond Development and Large Programs at ACDS, and Genest Landry Assistant Director of Project Delivery at ACDS to discuss City of Austin’s Capital Improvement Bond Programs Update.
Eric Bailey serves as the deputy director of Capital Delivery Services, a department formed by the City of Austin to more effectively and efficiently manage the City’s $10 billion capital improvements program including mobility, water, wastewater, watershed, parks, libraries, airport and convention center projects. Eric’s responsibilities include executive leadership over the project management and inspection functions within Capital Delivery Services. The department has 300+ employees including architects, engineers, inspectors and surveyors and is focused on delivering capital projects for the City of Austin.
Marcus Hammer leads the City of Austin’s bond development efforts and oversees the delivery of the new Convention Center and Walnut Creek Water Treatment Plant improvements. He brings more than 23 years of municipal government experience to the City of Austin. He has a dynamic background in municipal leadership which includes operational and capital budgeting, fiscal management, transportation planning, small and large capital project delivery, project inspections, contract management, and intra-departmental engagement.
Genest Landry oversees Capital Project Delivery at the City of Austin and leads the Architectural, Civil, and Utility Project Management Divisions as well as the Construction Management Division. These groups are instrumental in designing and constructing the infrastructure that keeps Austin thriving. Genest joined the City in 2017 as a project manager and has since served as a project management supervisor and a division manager. She has a background in structural engineering with a focus on people-center transportation design and planning.
NOTE: Time is allotted for lunch beginning at 11:30 AM. The meeting and speaker presentation will begin around 12 PM. A short period for questions & answers is reserved prior to 1 PM.
Registration ends on Friday, March 20th; you may still attend by paying at the door (cash, check, paypal). As a non-profit, we operate on a budget that is highly dependent on revenue from sponsorships, membership fees, and event/program fees (such as this luncheon). To help ensure a meal headcount for our events we require registration in advance. At this time, we do not offer refunds.
