About the Presentation:  Approximately one-hour presentation will cover importance of Geology for Geotechnical recommendations, with a focus on Maryland.

About the Speaker:

Mr. Scarborough is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with Specialized Engineering here in Frederick, MD.  He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, and graduate degrees from the University of Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.  He is Board Certified in Geotechnical Engineering, and has more than 30 years of professional experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in dealing with sinkhole issues. Mr. Scarborough has authored more than two dozen publications, including five on sinkholes and karst.
