The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is making sustainability a core part of its operations. From preserving natural resources to adopting innovative recycling technologies, VDOT is leading the way in sustainable infrastructure design. Join us for an engaging presentation by Mr. Chaz Weaver, who will highlight the agency’s initiatives in pavement recycling, geotechnical sustainability, concrete reuse, life-cycle extension, and more.
Speaker Bio:
Chaz Weaver is the District Materials Engineer for VDOT’s Staunton District and has served in this role for over 20 years. He holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. Chaz is also a Past President of the ASCE Virginia Section and brings deep insight into the evolving role of sustainability in civil infrastructure.
