"The Power of GenAI: an Intro for Engineering Firms"
Speaker: Cameron Duncan
The goal of this talk is to help listeners gain a conceptual understanding of Generative AI (ie, tools like ChatGPT) and the underlying principles of the technology. We will talk through how the technology can be applied to various engineering disciplines and why it makes sense for Engineers to pay attention. We will cover how GenAI works, what it can do, techniques to apply it in various engineering-related tasks, and risks and concerns with the tech. Lastly, we will cover how the tools and techniques learned can empower the entire firm, not only individual engineers.
