Ethics may not always be the first thing that comes to mind in civil engineering, but it is fundamental to our profession. It shapes our decisions, defines our integrity, and underpins the trust placed in us by society.

In recent years, the importance of ethics in engineering practice has become increasingly prominent. Yet, it is still too often treated as an afterthought – something supplementary rather than central. This event aims to challenge that mindset and place ethics where it belongs: at the heart of our professional identity.

To explore this vital topic, the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), in collaboration with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) UK Section, is hosting a special joint meeting.
