ASCE Austin - December Branch Meeting

 

ASCE Austin is excited to host Michael Sims, P.E., Director of Compliance and Enforcement as he presents the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors – Professional Practice Update/Ethics: Updates on engineering ethics and Code of Conduct, Board Activities, rule and statutory changes, and general updates on Board initiatives.

Michael Sims currently serves as the Director of Compliance and Enforcement with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. He has been with the Board since 2018. Michael previously oversaw the surface waste management and underground hydrocarbon storage programs at the Railroad Commission of Texas and worked in air permitting at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. He holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and has been a licensed professional engineer in Texas since 2010.

NOTE: Time is allotted for lunch beginning at 11:30 AM. The meeting and speaker presentation will begin around 12 PM. A short period for questions & answers is reserved prior to 1 PM.

Registration ends on Friday, December 13th; you may still attend by paying at the door (cash, check, paypal). As a non-profit, we operate on a budget that is highly dependent on revenue from sponsorships, membership fees, and event/program fees (such as this luncheon). To help ensure a meal headcount for our events we require registration in advance. At this time, we do not offer refunds.
