AIRPORT PAVEMENT DESIGN
WORKSHOP
FAARFIELD 2.0

Tuesday, May 11, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM EST

FAARFIELD 2.0 (FAA Rigid and Flexible Iterative Elastic Layered Design) was introduced in April 2021, and replaced FAARFIELD 1.42. FAARFIELD 2.0 is the FAA’s new standard for airport pavement thickness design and pavement strength evaluation, and is included in two recently revised Advisory Circulars: AC 150/5320-6G, “Airport Pavement Design and Evaluation,” and AC 150/5335-5D, “Standardized Method of Reporting Airport Pavement Strength – PCR.”

This FAA software workshop is intended for airport operators, consultants, and others with a practical interest in airport pavement design. Participants in the workshop will:

1. Learn the principles of pavement design and pavement analysis using FAARFIELD 2.0.

2. Experience hands-on demonstrations of the FAARFIELD software, with examples.

3. Get an introduction to the ICAO ACR-PCR system and learn how FAARFIELD 2.0 supports PCR reporting.

Attendees will need to download  FAARFIELD 2.0 prior to the workshop to complete pre-course work (FAARFIELD_ASCE_Workshop_Exercise.pdf) and to actively participate in pavement design examples during the workshop.  A version of the software is currently under review and can be viewed at
FAA-Airport Software Pavement Software Programs.

This webinar does not qualify for PDH credits.

This event will be capped at 500 attendees.
