About the Speaker:

As Department Head of Engineering & Planning for the Frederick County, MD, Division of Water and Sewer Utilities (DWSU) Mr. Burke is responsible for water treatment and distribution, as well as sewer collection and treatment system improvements as part of Capital Improvements Program. His department also reviews and approves Land Development infrastructure projects and inspect these projects as they are constructed. The department maintains the GIS data of Frederick County water distribution and sewage collection system, as well as maintain its Asset Management System.

 Mr. Burke earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A & M University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Maryland.

A brief discussion of Frederick County Division of Water and Sewer Utilities, who we are, who we serve, and upcoming projects. A discussion of the current issues facing Water and Sewer systems as well as a discussion about the latest technologies that are available to our industry.
