Join the ASCE Richmond Branch for a monthly technical lunch meeting where our community of civil engineers come together to network, learn about exciting new topics, and earn 1.0 PDH credit. This meeting is in-person only.

Abstract:

Innovative intersection and interchange designs help us continuously improve safety and efficiency on our roadways by changing vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle movements at conventional intersections. This provides transportation agencies and local communities with new, alternative options to reduce delay, increase efficiency and provide safer travel for all road users.  This presentation will include a discussion of design considerations and benefits of roundabouts using the Kingsland Road and Hopkins Road as a case study.
