Lead and Copper Rule and Lead Service Replacement Updates

Providence Water provides water to over 60% of the residents of Rhode Island.   Like most northeast water utilities, Providence Water has aging infrastructure and declining demand.  In 2006, Providence Water exceeded the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) Action Limit (AL) for lead.  This presentation will cover Providence Water’s journey to comply with the current and future LCR while navigating regulatory, financial, operational and political headwinds.
