    In my opinion, attending the pre-congress committee meetings, the day before the conference starts, does not work well for the following reasons:
    1. It adds to the number of days that I need to be at the conference. This year, my 3 committee meetings were on Wednesday and my two presentations on Friday and Saturday. It means that right before the end of my academic semester, I needed to stay for 4 days and arriving on Tuesday afternoon. Instead of a total of 5 days, I would have preferred to pay the full registration and be at the conference only for 2 or 3 days.
    2. it is interesting that two out of 3 of my committee meetings were at scheduled at the same time!
    3. Some people choose not to attend committee meetings for reason #1. This year all of my 3 committee meetings had low attendance.
    4. Some people just attend the committee meetings without attending the conference and without registration.
    Hope that you consider the above for the next structures congress conference.

    Hello Professor Sanayei, 

    I completely agree with #2. Most of committee meetings that focus on same field or subject were scheduled at same time. I had to choose which one to attend, but I kept thinking about the other ones which I did not attend. I think the only negative point of this conference was this issue.
    Hope to see better time arrangement in next conference.
