IIJA Implementation Webinar Series: Grant Opportunities with FEMA for Resilient and Secure Communiti

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) seeks to make communities safer and more resilient to the impacts of climate change and cyber-attacks, with an unprecedented investment of over $50 billion. This, together with a recent initiative supporting the adoption of the most up-to-date buildings codes, is stimulating change at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Join ASCE’s Government Relations team and FEMA leaders on June 29th from 3:00 – 4:00 pm Eastern Time to learn more about how the agency has unprecedented funding through competitive grants to strengthen the resilience of our nation’s communities and incentivize the use of up-to-date building codes. This session will be an opportunity to learn how the agency is FEMA is helping communities proactively address hazard mitigation in the face of a changing climate, what types of projects are eligible for funding, and how using consensus-based standards, such as ASCE 7, is key to a successful grant proposal.
