I recently sent a plan to NASA to create an ozone layer on Mars.
It seems that civil engineers have to step beyond the ground. I'm interested to see how civil engineers are thinking about infrastructure in space? Please post any ideas/research here. Thank you!

I recall an ASCE article from 2015 or 2016 about Civil Engineering opportunities on Mars as well. As a water resources engineer, the topic that stuck out to me was that due to the lower gravity, it may be possible to manage dust control out there the way we collect and manage stormwater here, either in tanks, tunnels, or channels to try and keep it away from critical infrastructure.

    Hi @Christopher Seigel,

It might have been this one titled: ASCE Younger Member Explores Engineering to Live on Mars. I look forward to hearing other research on this thread!

I actually think it was another article! I seem to recall that it was even the cover article of that edition of the ASCE magazine. I am glad to know that there has been additional literature on this topic as well, though.

Congratulations to you , for having such a dynamic and creative mind.
Can you briefly tell us about your research, how we can create an ozone layer on Mars?
