The pandemic has been breaking the stigma around working remotely. How has that affected job seekers' priorities about the work that job applications entail?

Are you focusing more on the projects than the people, since remote jobs can entail more independent work?

In my opinion I'd rather look on how they distributed quantity of projects, if it's right and not too much to be handle productively. I mean work is loaded but enough and rightfully for an individual major or minor projects. But also, I prefer a knowledgeable, skillful, and productive teams more than a good atmosphere but just relying to someone to depend and pass their work to save them (except if you are a junior engineer who's starting which is understandable). Because I need people whom I can learn from, improve, and adapt a positive traits towards work. Hopefully we wish we knew these things before when we are desperately looking for a job, because a job is job to be done. Have a great weeks ahead everyone.

If I were to look for a new position, my first priority would be if the company allows 100% remote. I love WFH because I am way more productive than working in the office. In addition, no long hour commuting is a big plus for my mental heath and the environment.

    Alex,

I am probably still focused on all of the things I was before the pandemic, and also additional factors now. I would still be interested in working on projects that are meant to drive sustainability and benefit the public. Having a good company culture and enjoyable coworkers is still just as essential, although I recognize if the company is now remote work oriented, it may take on a different form than it did in the past. If there are any examples of remote work companies whose employees still report satisfaction in engaging with co-workers and with company culture, I would be very interested in learning about how the company achieves these results.

    Thanks for the interesting post.
