    Hello everyone!
I'm new here and would like to start a thread on how to make the ASCE membership the most out of it.
Name one (or more) ASCE membership benefit that you think was the most useful or helpful for you and your career development.
It can be a program that you've attained, conferences, courses, mentorship, events, etc.
I'd be very happy to hear about your experiences and journey as an ASCE member.
    Thank you so much.

    Hello everyone!

Great topic. ASCE is surely a great organization to develop your career and grow professionally. Personally, one of the things I've found most rewarding is the ASCE Mentor Match platform. Whether as a mentor or mentee, this platform allows you to learn and give back to the industry in a balanced way. It is also a great tool for networking and making connections that may be helpful later in your career. I recommend setting up your profiles on the platform and start forming relationships.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
What ASCE membership benefits do you enjoy the most?

    Regards,
    Salvador

Hello and welcome to ASCE Chinbat. Beside conferences, events,  mentoring - apprentice you mentioned, ASCE also give opportunity such to be part of topic moderator, or writing a blog, and giving ideas to cover for new magazine that will release every month. In topic moderator, you can join the discussion of other professionals, and exposure for these contacts can expand your networks. They can be an ally to ask questions since they are more experienced when you're a student or new grad. You can learn the codes that you needed as well, and you can get involved in any other committees. And I believe it's not just about involvement, its also engaging your soft skills needed, and practicing your future career in terms of professional affiliation. I think that's all I know for now.

Dear Tugsdelger, welcome to ASCE! As a member of our society, always remember that the most important action to take advantage of the benefits of your membership is to think about what to offer, and then, you will realize that you will learn in the process. I got enrolled in ASCE as a professional. Still, I encourage my students in Universidad del Norte to look for mentorship, relevant publications and standards, organize a student chapter, contact practitioners, and learn/develop relevant skills for your profession (leadership, empathy, ethics, etc.).

Please look forward to impacting your community using the association's tools for you. Have you already connected to the library access engineering (https://www.asce.org/membership/member-benefits/access-engineering), or do you already enrolled in your local chapter or committees (https://www.asce.org/communities/student-members)? Please do it; I am sure that you have many ideas to share!
