  • 1.  Move to online teaching due to COVID-19

    Hello everyone,
I was hoping to understand how ASCE members, particularly student members, are handling the COVID-19 situation. I study in Philadelphia at a university that runs on the quarter system. It's difficult to our university to shut down entirely because we run year round. But as of now, our spring break has been extended and all classes for the first few weeks of the next term have moved online. Unfortunately, our ASCE chapter as had to suspend all our planned events as well.

How are other student members handling these changes? Have other universities suspended events as well? Do other chapters have alternative methods of programming?

    Hi Marina,

I study at Ben Gurion University in Israel. Lectures and seminars have been moved online. However, staff and students are not allowed to enter the university. This is the current status here. Personally, I am trying to accomplish other things that require computer studies like writing and analysis.
