  • 1.  ENV SP Certification - Any advice?

    Hi folks,

I plan to take the ENV SP Training Course and then sit for the ENV SP exam in about a month. Does anyone who has already gone through the ENV SP certification process have any tips?

More of ENV SP here: https://sustainableinfrastructure.org/credentialing/envision-sustainability-professional-env-sp/

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Danielle!

I completed the training in 2015 in my senior year of undergrad, so this might be a bit dated. But I have stayed current in my ENV SP licensure through continuing education credits, and thus I'm aware of Envision V3 and its requirements! As far as tips for completing the training, I would suggest you download the full V3 guidance manual to accompany any online modules you'll complete. The Envision categories and their many credits are obviously the focus of the training, and you should truly dive deep (i.e., read a good chunk) into how you might plan/document/score a project for each credit.

That being said, I'm pretty sure the exam is open-book (or at least it was for me). I would still be as comfortable as possible with Envision V3 and how to navigate the manual, the coversheets, and so on. Others who have taken the test more recently might have more nuanced advice as well.

Best of luck studying! It's a great program, and I have definitely been happy with it so far in my (albeit short) career!
